GandmaJo and Addy

My Grandma Jo got me a American Girl Doll. Her name is Addy. I have been feeding her and giving her drinks. My Grandma Jo is the best. My mom took picture's of us when I first got her.
Addy is from the History American Girl Dolls. When she was little she was a slave and her family had to escape and travel on the underground railroad. Addy and her mother had to leave Addy's baby sister, Esther, behind to find her dad and brother because if Esther cried they might get caught.
My mom is going to get a pattern and make me some clothes for Addy. I am so excited. I think this is a dream.
I love Addy and Thank you so much Grandma Jo!!!

How exciting! Did you know the doll was coming or was it a surprise? That Grandma Jo is pretty wonderful. Aunt Cathy

How nice. I always loved learning about black history in school. I really am wanting to watch the movie Roots.
